addendum to erosion blog
Ooops, I almost forgot - the postulate 1mm. of erosion per year on Mars only pertains to sands, dried muds, and loosely aggregated fine sedimentary rocks, perhaps something like sandstone. Metamorphic and igneous rocks would be much harder, and therefore would take much longer to weather and erode. Sorry about that.
