Tom Van Flandern and Richard Hoagland have come up with theories that posit that Mars was a moon, captured by a planet V, about 4 - 5 times the size of Earth. Mars was a warm, wet world in orbit around this planet located between us and Jupiter. Perhaps somewhat similar to the moon of Pandora orbiting a massive gas giant in the hit movie Avatar. Sometime in the past, seemingly around 65 million years ago, Planet V exploded. It appears another planet, Planet H, collided with V. The side of Mars facing the explosion got plastered with materials from the mantle and crust of the two exploding planets, resulting in one side of Mars being much thicker than the other. Being only about 100,000 miles from the explosion, the super hot material from the same ripped through Mar's atmosphere, superheating it and boiling away the oceans there. The atmosphere and water were soon lost to outer space; any remaining water was flash frozen beneath the surface, which became much colder, having little atmosphere and no moisture to hold the heat in. Thus we have the present day Mars, barren, a very thin atmosphere, and vast amounts of water ice buried under the surface, a solitary planet now, not a moon, in a very elliptical orbit (a direct result of the explosion).
Here's a table showing the evidence for such a theory:- Mars is much less massive than any planet not itself suspected of being a former moon.
- The orbit of Mars is more elliptical than any other major planet (Pluto notwithstanding).
- Its spin is slower than larger planets, except where a massive moon has intervened.
- It possesses a large offset of center of figure from the center of mass.
- The shape is not in equilibrium with its current spin.
- The "Crustal dichotomy" boundary is nearly a great circle.
- The northern hemisphere has a smooth (because it was the side facing away from the explosion), 1 km. thick crust; the southern crust is over 20 km. thick (And heavily cratered, having faced the explosion).
- Crustal thickness in the south decreases gradually toward the crustal dichotomy boundary.
- Lobate scarps occur at the boundary divide, compressed perpendicular to the boundary.
- Huge volcanoes (Olympus Mons) arose where uplift pressure from mass redistribution is maximal.
- A sudden geographic pole shift of the order of 90 degrees occurred.
- Much of the original atmosphere has been lost.
- A sudden, massive flood with no obvious source occurred.
- Xe129, a product of nuclear fission, has an excess abundance on Mars. (See the http://www.enterprisemission.com/ site for table).
What's this on the last item of the list? Excessive products of nuclear fission? Could the explosion of Planet V been an atomic explosion (s) instead? Sort of the reverse of the destruction of Spock's Vulcan in J.J. Abram's Star Trek?
There are other anomalies on the Red Planet that appear to be manufactured. Besides the aforementioned Face on Mars, there are large, ribbed "glass" tubes that appear from under the surface and then dive down again -
Something near the south pole looking like massive (1 km across!) trees (Green tint added)-
Something looking like a spaceship in a crater -
And three unknown objects, identical to each other, placed in an absolute straight line, precisely 800 feet apart! - Coming up next - Bizarre asteroids and structures on the moon ...
amazing post. . . you may enjoy some of Stan Deyo's work, and also the exopolitics people have some very cool info about Mars and secret gov. projects. Then there's Zen Garcia and fallenangels.tv which provide supple information about these very incredible topics! I am a Christian myself and certainly believe in the spiritual war being physicalized in many ways, and that there were these ancient Star Wars. I will continue reading your blog, GBY brother!
